KNEE OSTEOARTHRITIS RESEARCH STUDY

What is this project about?
This study seeks to evaluate whether combining two FDA-approved medications can effectively reduce pain.
These studies are approved by the Johns Hopkins Institutional Review Board (IRB00125605). The principal investigators for this study are Claudia M. Campbell, PhD, and Kelly Dunn, PhD.
Am I eligible to participate?
We are looking for volunteers who are diagnosed with knee osteoarthritis, are at least 45 years old, and are not diagnosed with any other serious medical condition. Take a screener here to find out if you might be eligible to participate!
What will I be asked to do for these studies?
For this study, you will be asked to attend 5 in-person study sessions at the Johns Hopkins Bayview Campus. At these visits, we will ask you to undergo sensory testing, complete physical function testing, and take the study's medications.
Will I be compensated for my time in this study?
Yes! You can earn up to $1,475 for completing all study-related activities.
