
SLEEP TO PREVENT POST-SURGICAL PAIN (STOPPP)
What is this project about?
This research is being done to compare different methods of addressing sleep problems before total knee replacement surgery and their effectiveness at reducing pain post-op.

Am I eligible to participate?
You may be eligible if you:

Are 50 years old or older
-
Have knee osteoarthritis and are planning knee replacement surgery soon
-
Have trouble falling or staying asleep​

What will I be asked to do for this study?
Participation in this study lasts about 7 months and will largely take place over Zoom. This will include:

1 virtual and 1 in-person screening visit

Randomized assignment to a sleep program, involving telehealth sessions and device usage at home

Virtual assessment periods

Will I be compensated for my time?
You can earn up to $555 for completing all study-related procedures. There is no cost to you to participate.
