VIRTUAL REALITY FOR PAIN AND ITCH AFTER BURNS (VIBE)
What is this project about?
Looking for burn survivors to do a relaxation therapy for chronic pain, itch, fatigue, and sleep disturbances with virtual reality (VR) for a research study. This study will test an at-home progressive muscle relaxation therapy for chronic symptom management in burn survivors.
This study is approved by the Johns Hopkins Institutional Review Board (IRB00488719). The principal investigator for this project is Sheera Lerman Zohar, PhD

Am I eligible to participate?
You may be eligible if you:

Are 18 years or older
-
Had a burn injury 6 months or more ago

Have chronic symptoms like pain,
itch, fatigue, and trouble sleeping​
This study involves:
-
2 virtual visits over zoom
-
2-3 weeks of monitoring your
sleep with a watch and electronic
diary -
6 days of doing a relaxation
therapy and using a VR headset
