NATURALISTIC MEASURES OF SLEEP, MEDICATION USE, AND PAIN

What is this project about?

This research study seeks to examine the effects of sleep disturbance on drug response and pain in people who have chronic low back pain. 

This study is approved by the Johns Hopkins Institutional Review Board (IRB00260028). The principal investigator for this project is Michael T. Smith, PhD.

Am I eligible to participate?

We are looking for volunteers who are diagnosed with chronic low back pain and are between the ages of 21-75.

What will I be asked to do for this study?

You will be asked to complete 1 virtual screening visit, 1 virtual training session, two 14-day data collection periods using your phone and other devices, monthly medication check-ins, and a final virtual follow up visit.

Will I be compensated for my time in this study?

Yes! You can earn up to $515 for completing all study-related activities.
